  • Kozhi boneless, basmati rice, inch cinnamon, bay leaf, cloves, cumin seeds, cardamom, onions, tomatoes, kasturi manjal, pepper podi
How to Make Chettinad nattu kozhi biriyani
  • Boil 800 gm basmati rice and keep it aside. Cut 500gm chicken pieces and clean them. Apply 1 tsp lemon juice on the pieces.
  • Heat oil in deep pan and fry ½ inch cinnamon. 1 bay leaf, 3-4 cloves, ¾ spoon cumin seeds and 2 cardamon properly. Add 2 medium size thinly sliced onions. 
  • Add finely chopped green chillies and fry again. Now add chicken pieces in the mixture and sauté well. After frying for 5 minutes add 1 medium sized finely chopped tomato, salt as per taste and ½ tsp kasturi manjal. 
  • Add 2 tsp ginger garlic mashd, 1 cup fresh and thick curd and 1 tsp aashirvaad chilli podi and Mix it properly.
  • Cut 2 bellary onion and fry them in golden brown colour. Spread this fried onion on the chicken mixture, and then spread boiled rice evenly.
  • Sprinkle 1 tsp of pepper podi and milk on rice. Spread very thinly cut ginger stripes and remaining fried onion. Cook on low heat for fifteen minutes. Garnish with fried cashew and serve hot by taking all layers of the biryani.
  • Serve with curd onion or with masala kuzhambu.
